It should read JM SD10/3 6 in front of house no. 5 at Jalan Margosa SD10/3.TNB is our sole supply provider. TNB has standardised the design and installation of streetlights all throughout the country. The lamps are mounted on
TNB's concrete poles that bear the company's colour of blue and red, and also a reference number, which can be seen on the picture above.

ReplyDeleteWith reference to the above matter, please be informed that the IDs (nomber tiang) for most of the TNB lamp posts in MS Community ( the area served by Jalan Margosa SD10/1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 2, 3 and 3A) could not be easily recognised now. Reporting to TNB on the non lit lamps becomes a real hassle. They would always request for "nombor tiang", but we are unable to comply. Sometimes we would opt for the nearest best way by providing house addresses.
The probable causes are as follows:
1.MS Community is about 16 years old. Owing to prolonged exposure to rain and shine, the ID marks either disappear or become not legible.
2.The irresponsible actions of the Ah Longs and others. The posts are pasted with their advertisement which would cover the "tiang nombor".
I have observed that the TNB poles in other areas in BSD are now posted with new ID stickers. Please see attached file for a sample of the new sticker.
It is our hope that similar actions could be carried in MS Community.

All the street lights in MS Community were off. So I decided to call TBN via 15454 at 10.07pm to provide the feeback. Encik Mohd Fadulah answered my call and gave me the report number W635RA. Within 10 minutes all the street lights were restored. Syabas and thank you, TNB Careline! Keep up with the excellent work!
